First Goalscorer Tips For Sunday – 8 May, 2022

It’s more about the foot of the Premier League table this Sunday. However, there are some exciting fixtures across Europe and even in non-league on May 8, where we’ll also see goals aplenty.

As usual, we’ve rounded up our top first goalscorer tips and here are the best value odds you’ll find with the bookmakers…

Our First Goalscorer Tips For 8 May, 2022

Arsenal v Leeds United

Eddie Nketiah to score first at 9/2 with 888sport

Leeds will find their backs to the wall from kick off as Arsenal’s thriving attack look to continue their good form. Eddie Nketiah has been key to that and is enjoying a great run in the side despite looking likely he’ll walk away from the Emirates in the summer.

He’s one of a number of players who could be contenders for first goal, including Lacazette who’s also priced at 9/2 with 888sport. We’re backing the young Englishman to give the home side the lead in this one though.

Leicester City v Everton

Dominic Calvert-Lewin to score first at 11/2 with 888sport

Everton could potentially be out with Richarlison for their huge clash with Leicester at the King Power. He’s been Frank Lampard’s main source of goals and will undoubtedly be a miss if he does face a suspension.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is looking likely to be fit for the game, and whether the Brazilian is in the side or not, Calvert-Lewin will provide a threat up top. He’s had a poor campaign so far and will be keen to sign-off the season with a few goals, especially if it keeps the Toffees in the top flight. He’s priced at 11/2 with 888sport to get the first goal and we’re backing him to do so.

Manchester City v Newcastle United

Gabriel Jesus to score first at 4/1 with 888sport

Take your pick with Manchester City this week. Pep Guardiola’s men will be keen to put any talk of an upset quickly to bed and get off to a good start at the Etihad on Sunday. It’s likely they will do so given their firepower. Gabriel Jesus is enjoying his time in front of goal at the moment and alongside Riyad Mahrez is City’s main goalscoring threat. If that is even possible.

At 4/1 with 888sport, we’d back him to get City off and running in the game, but of course Pep’s traditional rotation policy may affect that.

Norwich City v West Ham United

Jarrod Bowen to score first at 11/2 with 888sport

West Ham should have few problems dispatching a poor Norwich side this weekend and after a fine goal last time out we’re backing Jarrod Bowen to put in another solid performance. He’s been one of the Hammers’ stand out players this season and will want to finish off the season in good form.

At 11/2 to score first with 888sport, we’d back him to add to his goal tally at Carrow Road and contribute to another difficult afternoon for the Canaries.
