Ronaldo’s Next Club: What The Bookies Say

Ronaldo’s Next Club: What The Bookies Say

The future of Cristiano Ronaldo continues to be a huge talking point and among the problems at Old Trafford, the Portuguese star is becoming more and more of one.

He’s been seeking a move away from the club all summer, but where exactly could he go?

United may well need his goals given their start to the season, but will he still be at the club come the end of the transfer window? The bookies certainly think so with him 4/9 favourite to now stay at the club with most of them. But where else could he go?

Sporting Lisbon

The club where he started his career are currently favourites with the bookies priced at 11/4, and that perhaps seems most likely given he’d know he’d have to take a huge pay cut and it would be more for the emotional and legacy side of things that he’d arrive there.

It wouldn’t be a bad move for him. He’d be away from the limelight and still be able to bang the goals in given the drop in quality when it comes to the division. It seems like he will end up there one day, but come the end of this month? We’re not sure.

Atletico Madrid

Similarly to last season when Manchester City were rumoured to be in for the striker, Atletico Madrid have been linked, perhaps in a bid to get Real Madrid to come in for him.

Atletico are 10/1 to sign Ronaldo, ahead of Real at 22/1. We can categorically say there is absolutely no chance of this.

Chelsea

It’s perhaps the same with Chelsea. While Ronaldo is not exactly doing his Old Trafford legacy any favours at present, a move to Chelsea would certainly not endear himself any further to United fans.

He’s 14/1 to join Thomas Tuchel’s men. They perhaps do need a striker, so it could happen. It would be outlandish if it did though.

Bayern Munich

Bayern are without Robert Lewandowski these days so Ronaldo could prove the perfect replacement.

They’ve been scoring for fun though and have a wealth of attacking talent in the squad, including new signing Sadio Mane. It could prove a good move for all though with the German outfit also priced at 14/1.
