888bannerBack Under 2.5 goals – Girona v Leganes – 8/15 with 888sport

Leganes could earn their highest ever domestic rank should they top last season’s 17th place Liga BBVA finish. Should they do so, they will owe a great chunk of that to the current fourth best defensive unit in the division.

Asier Garitano’s organised outfit have already accrued 10 clean sheets in 22 contests, likely feeling slightly disappointed in their 0-0 draw in the reverse fixture with Girona. Leganes have only been defeated by more than one goal in two of 22 league contests, while only seven matches have seen over 2.5 goals.

Girona are enjoying a marvellous debut campaign in La Liga under Pablo Machin, despite entering the season as heavy 1/2 relegation favourites. The White and Reds are currently in 10th place, 13 points from the relegation zone and just four away from a Europa League qualifying place.

In their last five contests, the hosts have seen under 2.5 goals occur four times. While only 11 of their 23 league games have seen under 2.5 goals thus far, that record becomes 10 of 17 when removing matches against the top five.

While Girona are overseeing 2.8 goals per game at Estadi Montilivi, the visitors are bringing a record of 1.9 goals per game on their travels and we can envision Leganes limiting the Catalonians on Friday evening.

Back Under 2.5 goals in a probable tedious affair at odds of 8/15 with 888sport.

betfair 1Back Leicester -1 – Leicester City v Sheffield United – 8/5 with Betfair

As Leicester City enter a crucial point in their campaign, manager Claude Puel must quietly fancy their chances at FA cup glory.

The Foxes are separated by 10 places and nine points from the relegation places heading into the FA cup weekend and, realistically, they are safe for another season. At the opposite end of the spectrum, Burnley are just one point ahead of them in seventh and collapsing in form at a pivotal time.

Much was made of Puel’s chosen line-up away at Peterborough in the previous round of this competition, but his side ran riot at London Road, completing a 5-1 rout led by Kelechi Iheanacho and new signing Fousseni Diabate.

Despite a hiccup away at Fleetwood in the third round, the 2015/16 Premier League champions have consistently impressed in cup matches. From seven opportunities, Leicester have taken five wins across two cup competitions, surpassing the -1 handicap on their head on all five occasions. Those triumphs include a 4-1 victory over Sheffield United at Bramall Lane in August, along with a 3-1 win over fellow Championship side Leeds in the EFL Cup.

The Blades are defying expectations in their first season back in the second tier, however they’ve been constantly let down by away form. Seven of their 12 Championship losses have occurred on their travels, including a miserable 3-0 battering taken at league leaders Wolves a fortnight ago.

Chris Wilder hasn’t faced a real challenge in three of his four cup experiences this season, being pitted against Ipswich, Preston and Walsall thus far. Should Leicester rest stars Riyad Mahrez, Jamie Vardy and Wilfred Ndidi, they are still capable of inflicting a great deal of damage on the attack. If Puel opts for a strong line-up, this could be a huge confidence boosting win for the tricky Foxes.
