Accumulator Tips for Tuesday 20/2/18
Tuesday 20th February rewards us with the second round of Champions League contests, following on from exciting clashes between Juventus v Tottenham and Real Madrid v PSG last week. Representing the United Kingdom, Chelsea host current La Liga top dogs Barcelona in their first contest since *that* clash in 2012.
We have weighed up all of the most important stats and figures to locate the best matches and subsequent tips in our football tips for tonight.
Here are our selections for Tuesday 20th February’s Accumulator Tips:
Back Bayern Munich -1 – Bayern Munich v Besiktas – 1/2 with 888sport
Turkish champions Besiktas impressed in a difficult group stage, surpassing RB Leipzig, Monaco and FC Porto, however the task of European heavyweights Bayern Munich should be too much.
The Bavarians could only earn a second place finish behind PSG in the group stages, however the managerial change from Carlo Ancelotti to Jupp Heynckes has foreseen a significant change in fortunes.
Besiktas have fallen to fourth place in the Turkish Super Lig following a run of one win from six in away contests. Since Heynckes return, the 2012/13 European champions Bayern have been victorious in 21 of their 23 competitive matches. Focusing on home games, they have won all 11 Allianz Arena duels, with eight of those 11 seeing the Bundesliga leaders win by two goals at a minimum.
FCB managed to rest six of their international superstars at Wolfsburg last weekend and the influence of well-rested talent like Jerome Boateng, Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller can play a vital role here.
Back Bayern Munich on the -1 handicap at odds of 1/2 with 888sport. For this bet to land, the Bavarians must be win by two or more goals.
Back Middlesbrough to beat Hull – 4/5 with Betfair
Hull crashed to another dreadful loss last Friday, though their 4-0 defeat at the hands of Chelsea was more forgivable than their limp Championship away defeats.
Heading into Tuesday, the Tigers possess the third worst travelling record in the division, losing nine of their 16 opportunities. While home results have been marginally better and keep them out of the relegation zone temporarily, Hull were thrashed 3-1 at the hands of Middlesbrough back in October.
Boro haven’t had it all their way this season, yet they are still within touching distance of a play-off spot, trailing Bristol City by five points. Results haven’t improved quite as much as the club would’ve hoped since Tony Pulis replaced Garry Monk, but Boro were impressive in defeating Reading at the Riverside Stadium in their last home game.
That match saw Boro take the spoils in a 2-1 win that could’ve been more. Hull are hit with a humongous injury list and will find it hard to cope against Pulis’s direct approach here.
Back Middlesbrough to find their feet under Tony Pulis against struggling Hull. Take the 4/5 available with Betfair.

Back Brentford to beat Birmingham – 7/10 with 888sport
Birmingham are just two points above the relegation spots as they travel to Brentford on Tuesday night and Steve Cotterill will be feeling the pressure after a disastrous home defeat to Millwall at weekend.
Dean Smith’s Brentford have already taken three points from the Brum with a 2-0 win at St Andrews in November. If it weren’t for a patchy start, the Bees could be in the mix for promotion this season.
As it stands, they will need a resurgent charge to make the top six, but a midweek win at Griffin Park could be the catalyst for just that. The Bees possess a strong array of attacking talents, while their defence has been their biggest weakness. Luckily for Smith and co, they’re up against the league’s limpest attacking unit.
Birmingham carry the second worst away record in the Championship and we can see them relying heavily on home form to ensure their safety. Brentford create an outrageous amount of opportunities per game and they should win this comfortably if they take a couple of them.
Back Brentford to condemn Birmingham to another miserable away day at 7/10 with 888sport.
Our Tuesday night treble of Bayern Munich -1, Middlesbrough and Brentford currently offers odds of 37/10 with Betfair at the time of writing. A £20 stake could net you a total of £94 if successful! Follow the link below to get involved.
