League Two is starting to take shape now and it’s clear who are the sides that will be pushing for promotion come the end of the season, with the likes of Salford, Leyton Orient and Northampton Town having really hit the ground running.

That said, it’s always competitive and there are some interesting games this weekend as the top teams have some difficult ties. As ever, our betting experts have put together their betting tips for the match result market…

Game of the Weekend: Doncaster Rovers v Salford City

Doncaster to win at 15/8 with 888sport

Salford sit top of the league and go into this game unbeaten but they face a resilient Doncaster side who have already shown they know how to fight hard this season. As you’d expect, the Class of 92 side are favourites for the win at 7/5 with 888sport, but it’s going to be far from easy against the South Yorkshire side who have also yet to lose this season.

Donny can be backed at 15/8 in this game, and we fancy them on home soil to send back the Greater Manchester club home with their tails between their legs.

Swindon to win at 1/1 with 888sport

If you’re looking for a banker this weekend then head to Swindon where they take on a Rochdale side who can’t buy a point, never mind a win. Dale have lost all four of their games so far and it’s looking like it’s going to be a long old season for the club.

Swindon haven’t endured the best of starts either, drawing three of their four, but there’s promise there and at EVS with 888sport they actually look good value too for this fixture.

Newport County v Tranmere Rovers

Tranmere to win at 27/10 with 888sport

We expect Tranmere to be chasing the play-offs once again this season and they sit comfortably mid-table at present having collected four points from their opening four. It’s perhaps not the start they would have wanted, but we expect them to come out strong against a Newport side who haven’t picked up a point since the opening day of the season. That said, the Welsh side are favourites at EVS with 888sport, but we’re backing Rovers at 27/10.

Barrow v Harrogate Town

Barrow to win at 23/20 with 888sport

Not too long ago this would have been a non-league fixture, but the two sides have established themselves in the Football League and we could see a corker in Cumbria this weekend. Both sides are relatively evenly matched, and at present just two points separate them, with Barrow having the slightly better record.

The Cumbrians are favourites at 23/20 with 888sport, while Harrogate can be backed at 23/10 alongside the draw. However, we’re seeing three points for the home side this time out.
