Bundesliga Predictions 20/10/17
An interesting gameweek approaches as the two bottom-sides face each other desperate for a win, while Leverkusen travel to Mönchengladbach. Jupp Heynckes is looking for his third win in three matches away to Hamburg, and Freiburg will hope to add to their only win so far this season. All content here has been written by Martin Skuggevik Foss, however all predictions are researched and selected solely by our dedicated Accumulator Tips team. Here are our Bundesliga football accumulator predictions for this week:
Schalke 04 v Mainz 05
Nastasic is out for Schalke, while Mainz have a host of players out with injury. Mainz come into this match with a terrible away record. They’ve not won in their last nine. Meanwhile Schalke are undefeated in ten of their last 11 home matches. Schalke have won their last three matches against Mainz, and scored two or more in these.
Prediction: 2-0
Accumulator Tips suggests: Schalke to win – 17/20 with BetVictor
Borussia Mönchengladbach v Bayer Leverkusen
Leverkusen are without Tin Jedvaj, and most likely Charles Aránguiz. Gladbach will have to do without Strobl, Drmic, Bénes and Doucouré while Bobadilla could return. There’s been goals in Leverkusen’s recent matches. In nine of the last 10 they’ve had three or more goals. There’s been 3 or more goals in the last five matches between them so expect a few goals here.
Prediction: 3-1
Accumulator Tips suggests: Over 2.5 Goals – 11/20 with Betway
Eintracht Frankfurt v Borussia Dortmund
A match with nearly as many players out with injury/suspension than actually fit to play. Both sides have nine or more players out, but most noticeably are Meier, Fabian, Mascarell, Flette, and Chandler for Frankfurt and Reus, Piszczek, Sokratis, Toprak and Schmelzer for Dortmund. Even though Dortmund lost at home to Leipzig at Signal Iduna Park and only managed a 1-1 draw away to APOEL they have started the season well. Although they face a tough opponent who’ve not lost in their last ten home matches to top six sides.
Prediction: 1-1
Accumulator Tips suggests: Under 2.5 Goals – 57/50 with Bet365
FC Augsburg v Hannover 96
Hinteregger is still out for Augsburg while Opare is likely to recover from a muscle injury. Hannover are without Felipe, Prib and Bech, but welcome back Albornoz and Jonathas who could replace Füllkrug up top. There’s been under 2.5 goals in five of Augsburg’s last six home matches while Hannover have seen only 14 goals in ther first eight matches. After impressive starts both sides have suffered a dip in form with no wins in the last three matches.
Prediction: 1-1
Accumulator Tips suggests: Under 2.5 goals – 4/5 with Betfair
RB Leipzig v VfB Stuttgart
Leipzig have had some week. They were the first team to beat Dortmund at their home ground after Dortmund having gone undefeated for 48 matches on Saturday. On Tuesday managed to beat FC Porto 3-2 in the Champions League on Tuesday. Leipzig should welcome Timo Werner back into the starting line-up, and only have Ilsanker out with a red card. Stuttgart continue to be without Mané, Zimmerman, Gentner and Kaminski. Stuttgart have lost all their away matches so far, and have conceded a least twice in all of them. Leipzig will come into this match full of confidence.
Prediction: 3-0
Accumulator Tips suggests: Leipzig to win with 2 or more goals – 13/10 with BetVictor
Hamburger SV v Bayern Munich
Bayern are without Martinez, Ribery, Bernat and Neuer here, while Hamburg only have long-term absentee Nicolai Muller out. Since Jupp Heynckes’ return to management Bayern have scored eight and conceded none. They will aim reprise their fantastic 8-0 win in February. Their record away to bottom six sides is very good, and they have only conceded in two of their last ten away trips.
Prediction: Hamburg 0-3 Bayern Munich
Accumulator Tips suggests: Bayern to win with 2 or more goals – 11/25 with BetVictor
FC Cologne v Werder Bremen
Cologne will have to do without important players in Hector, Risse and Cordoba, while Werder Bremen now only have Max Kruse possibly out. Cologne have lost seven of their last eight matches in the league, and are desperate for a win here as they are three six points below Hamburg outside the relegation zone. Werder Bremen are in a similar position with only four points. A loss here could be the last nail in the coffin for Alexander Nouri at Werder Bremen so expect two teams attacking. Cologne are coming off a 1-0 defeat away to BATE in the Europa League which could very well be a deciding factor in this match as they get minimum recovery for this match.
Prediction: 1-2
Accumulator Tips suggests: Over 2.5 Goals – 89/100 with Bet365
SC Freiburg v Hertha Berlin
Both sides have a host of players out with injury or suspension here, and Hertha Berlin are coming into this match with a 2-1 loss away to Zorya in the Europa League on Thursday. A match they deserved to lose. They’ve now lost 11 of their last 13 away matches in the league, and failed to score in five of their last seven away. Freiburg have struggled this season, and have only mustered a single win after eight matches. An important match for the home side who will feel they have a chance for all three points.
Prediction: 1-1
Accumulator Tips suggests: Under 2.5 Goals – 61/100 with Bet365
Wolfsburg v Hoffenheim
Hoffenheim are coming into this match after an impressive 3-1 win over Basaksehir in the Europa League. They are, however, without a few players due to injury. Nordtveit, Amiri, Bicakcic, Szalai and possibly Posch are all out for this match. Wolfsburg continue to be without Brooks, Jung and Bruma, but Mario Gomez might be fit enough for the bench here. Hoffenheim have only tasted defeat in one of their last ten matches in the league, but have only ever won once at the Volkwagen Arena.
Prediction: 1-2
Accumulator Tips suggests: Hoffenheim to win – 47/25 with Betway
