Fantasy Football Gameweek 32: Our Top Picks

What a weekend of football we have in store. There’s drama at both the top and bottom of the Premier League in store, and there are plenty of decisions to be made when it comes to picking your fantasy XI.

While the match result market is going to be hard enough to decide this weekend with Manchester City welcoming Liverpool to the Etihad, picking the players that are going to earn points is just as difficult.

That said, there are some standouts who could be in the points come the end of Sunday…

Illan Meslier (Leeds United)

Perhaps not a player to stick with long term, but if you’re playing your free hit then the Leeds stopper is certainly worth considering. The West Yorkshire outfit take on Watford who simply can’t buy a goal, so if you’re looking for a guaranteed clean sheet for a low price, Meslier is the pick for you.

Christian Eriksen (Brentford)

Brentford are enjoying a great run of form and last week the Danish midfielder got himself on the scoresheet and earned two bonus points after the Bees shocked Chelsea in a 4-1 win. It made it three wins out of three for Eriksen when he’s started. His impact really has been that big.

Priced at £5.5million, we expect big things from him as we approach the end of the season and he’s certainly worth investing in.

Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City)

In the big game of the weekend the bookmakers can’t separate Manchester City and Liverpool, but one man who can and who will be hugely influential on Super Sunday is Kevin De Bruyne. He’s picked up 134 points so far this season despite a number of injuries and will be instrumental in any success the Blues have against Jurgen Klopp’s men.

But do you dare to bring him in for Salah or Mane? That’s the question…

Reece James (Chelsea)

It feels like a good opportunity to move away from Liverpool and Manchester City full backs this weekend and with Chelsea taking on Southampton there’s a decent option in the £6.2million Reece James. He’s the top scorer in the league and after missing out against Brentford he’ll likely be brought back following that disaster at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea will go out all guns blazing after the embarrassment last weekend and he could well be the top scoring defender of the weekend.

Son Heung-min (Tottenham Hotspur)

Spurs will be looking to continue their free-flowing goalscoring form this weekend as they take on Aston Villa at Villa Park. Son has bagged 177 points so far and is the in-form forward in the Premier League currently. He’s picked up 15 and 22 in the last two gameweeks and if you’re looking for a triple captain this weekend, the South Korean is certainly worth a punt at £10.9million.
