Fantasy Football Hints & Tips – Gameweek 12

Gameweek 11 seems like a long time ago, doesn’t it? I swear there have been more international breaks than ever this season. Before you say anything, I know that isn’t true, but I’m certainly glad that the Premier League is returning this weekend.

It starts off with a bang, too, as Spurs play Arsenal at the Emirates. The North London derby rarely fails to deliver drama, and there could be plenty of FPL points on offer to get your gameweek off to a flier.

The gameweek’s fixtures are as follows:

Saturday 18th November
Arsenal vs Spurs (12:30)
Bournemouth vs Huddersfield (15:00)
Burnley vs Swansea (15:00)
Crystal Palace vs Everton (15:00)
Leicester vs Man City (15:00)
West Brom vs Chelsea (15:00)
Man Utd vs Newcastle (17:30)

Sunday 19th November
Watford vs West Ham (16:00)

Monday 20th November
Brighton vs Stoke (20:00)

Acca Tips have picked our team of 11 players you should be considering for this gameweek:

Goalkeeper

David de Gea – £5.7m

David de Gea

David de Gea remains the standout option in goal and with Man Utd’s next three fixtures being Newcastle, Brighton and Watford, there is simply no sense in changing him out if he’s your current number one. Priced at £5.7m, the Spaniard is worthy every penny.

Defenders

Cesar Azpilicueta – £6.8m

Azpilicueta 9

It’s easy to see why Azpilicueta is priced so highly given his performances this season. He has scored more FPL points than any other defender and that is largely thanks to the five assists he has provided in his first 11 games, already matching his haul from the last two seasons. He has forged a great relationship with Morata and faces off against West Brom on Saturday.

Charlie Daniels – £4.8mDaniels

Bournemouth found some form prior to the international break and are blessed with some favourable fixtures on the horizon. First up is Huddersfield at home on Saturday and Charlie Daniels – very reasonably priced at £4.8m – could be a profitable choice given the potential of his attacking returns.

Stephen Ward – £4.9m

Ward

The FPL community are starting to sit up and take notice of Burnley’s Stephen Ward, who represents excellent value for money at £4.9m given that he is the fourth highest scoring defender in the game. The Clarets host Swansea on Monday evening, a fixture that carries major clean sheet potential.

Midfielders

Leroy Sane – £8.9m

leroy sane

No doubt there is always a rotation risk when selecting any Man City player, but surely Leroy Sane – given recent form – is one who should be immune to Pep Guardiola’s bench. The German winger remains the top scoring FPL player and will be eager to continue his stellar season against Leicester this weekend.

Christian Eriksen – £9.7m

If you want a player who will be returning from the international break with a smile on his face then look no further than Christian Eriksen. The Dane broke Irish hearts by scoring a hat-trick in the play-off second leg to ensure his country will be on the plane to Russia, and he will surely be carrying a bucket load of confidence into Saturday lunchtime’s North London derby.

Mohamed Salah – £9.4m
Salah1

Mohamed Salah is second only to Leroy Sane in terms of total FPL points this season – not bad for a man enjoying his debut campaign on Merseyside. The Egyptian winger was the star man in gameweek 11’s victory over West Ham and will be at the centre of the action again as Liverpool host Southampton on Saturday. A must have.

Richarlison – £6.5m

Richarlison 1

Another player enjoying an excellent first season is Watford’s Richarlison, who has scored four and assisted four already. His advanced role means he is always in the thick of the action and it would not be a surprise to see him terrorising West Ham’s defence on Sunday as the Hammers try to adapt to life under David Moyes

Forwards

Harry Kane – £12.8m (Accumulator Tips Vice-captain pick)
 Kane large 2

Harry Kane has a history of producing against Arsenal so it is without any hesitation that we include him in our selection for gameweek 12. After being rested over the international break, Kane will be raring to go against Spurs’ bitter rivals.

Alvaro Morata – £10.3m (Accumulator Tips Captain pick)

After something of a blip, Chelsea’s season is back on track having won their last three Premier League games and with Alvaro Morata back to full fitness, the near future looks promising for Antonio Conte’s men. Morata is just one behind Kane and Aguero in the top scorer stakes and will be sufficiently motivated to keep pace with his rivals.

Romelu Lukaku – £11.5m

lukaku

We’ve already discussed Man Utd’s favourable upcoming fixtures and it is for that reason that we are recommending Lukaku. It’s true that the Belgian has been off the boil recently but with Paul Pogba’s return to the side imminent, we could see Lukaku with greater service and we fully expect him to recapture his early season form.

Reminder! The Gameweek 12 deadline is 11:30 on 18/11/17
