Fantasy Football Gameweek 34: Our Top Picks

There are some big fixtures this weekend across the Premier League with both the Merseyside derby and Arsenal v Manchester United. However, there are also some absolute gimmes for your fantasy football team too.

We’ve got big wins predicted for the likes of Manchester City in our accumulator tips this weekend and the bookmakers are no different. But who will be picking up the points for your fantasy team?

We run down our top five picks for Gameweek 34…

Mo Salah (Liverpool)

After a successful midweek at Anfield for Mo Salah and his Liverpool teammates against Manchester United, the Reds continue their quest for the league title in the Merseyside derby which could be one of the biggest, and most one-sided, in years.

Jurgen Klopp’s men are in the goals at the moment and Salah picked up 19 points on Tuesday night and will be thirsty for more. At £13.2million, he’s a selection for those with the budget, but he could well be in the goals once again come the end of Sunday.

Raheem Sterling (Manchester City)

Among our betting tips we’re expecting a big win for City against a Watford side who are struggling big time. In the goalscorer markets you can take your pick really and there will be plenty of City attackers picking up the points on Saturday afternoon. Raheem Sterling knows how to score against Watford though, having bagged 11 in nine against them, and with few FF managers selecting him at present (just 2.4%, in fact), he could prove a good selection priced at £10.5million.

Ederson (Manchester City)

Goalkeepers are always that bit pricier with the big clubs and it could mean that you miss out on Blues players elsewhere. However, if you’re looking for a clean sheet this weekend you won’t find a better player available than Ederson.

He’ll certainly start given Steffen is strictly a cup goalkeeper and given the rotation of the rest of the City squad it can be tricky to pick a nailed on starter outside the number one position. He is £6.1million, but he’ll be worth it this weekend.

Son Heung-min (Tottenham Hotspur)

We’ve picked him the last few weeks and he’s staying in our top selections because he’s the key starter across any fantasy football team. Spurs take on Brentford this weekend in what could be a free scoring encounter given the last few weeks for both teams.

Back in December, Son was on the scoresheet in this fixture, and we’d back him again, or at the very least pick up an assist.

Andy Robertson (Liverpool)

Liverpool will be keen to get forward in the derby and ensure that Liverpool get the three points they need. He’s a cheaper option than Trent Alexander-Arnold on the other wing, and will be a good bet for a clean sheet against Everton on Sunday.

What’s more, you’ve got a great chance of an assist with the Scot. He doesn’t come cheap though at £7.3million.
