Fantasy Football Gameweek 3: Our Top Picks
It was further misery for Manchester United last time out and they have a horrific third game of the season hosting Liverpool on Monday evening.
Both sides haven’t enjoyed the best of starts, while the likes of Brentford, Brighton and Fulham will be full of confidence from such results.
We see another interesting weekend of football in the top flight, but who should you be bringing into your fantasy team?
Gabriel Jesus (Arsenal)
For the third week running we’re going for Gabriel Jesus. He was top draw last weekend and with Manchester City filling their boots against Bournemouth last weekend, we’d back Gabriel Jesus to get in on the fun this time out.
Priced at £8million, he could be your captain this week.
Marc Cucurella (Chelsea)
Cucurella has fitted into the new Chelsea side well and picked up an assist last weekend against Spurs. The Blues take on Leeds this weekend and they’ll expect three points, with a clean sheet a heavy possibility for the defender. He’s priced at £5million so not breaking the bank and if last weekend is anything to go by, he’s going to be a good point scorer this season.
Ivan Perisic (Tottenham Hotspur)
Keeping with defenders, Ivan Perisic looks to be a good player to bring into your fantasy team, with Spurs having a nice run of fixtures in which clean sheets are high in potential. Perisic also has the ability to score and assist, so at £5.4million, it could be time to invest.
Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace)
Crystal Palace got a good result against Liverpool on Monday night and they will fancy their chances against former Liverpool man Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa. Villa got a result against Everton last weekend but haven’t looked great so far, and Zaha certainly knows how to make defenders panic. It could be a good week him.
Aleksandar Mitrovic (Fulham)
Brentford stunned Manchester United last weekend and we can expect more goals this weekend as Fulham and the Bees meet for the first time in the top flight. Mitrovic will be the most lethal in front of goal and we’d continue to back him after we selected him last week too. At £6.6million, he’s a bargain.
