Fantasy Football Gameweek 36: Our Top Picks

As it gets to squeaky bum time in the world of fantasy football we have ourselves a double gameweek. That’s right, it’s all to play for so you really do need to get your selections right.

We’ve had our day when it comes to our Premier League predictions for the games, as have the bookies and it’s going to be a great couple of matchdays in the top flight.

12 teams have a double gameweek and as usual, we’re bringing you our must selects for fantasy football, with gameweek 36 a crucial one for many…

Marcos Alonso (Chelsea)

We selected Marcos Alonso last week and he did let us down with defeat to Everton. However, with Wolves and Leeds coming up we can see him picking up some points here. He’s good value for money at £5.7million, is a guaranteed pick and could help the Blues really pick apart a struggling Leeds side.

Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace)

Zaha failed to get on the scoresheet as Palace drew with Leeds on Monday night. However, he had a gameweek-leading seven shots without finding the net and will be keen to get on the scoresheet in a fixture where there’s no real pressure on either side.

Southampton do concede and if Zaha is having one of those days he could be a real threat. He’s picked up 118 points so far this season and at £6.8million he could be a really useful pick.

Phil Foden (Manchester City)

Phil Foden picked up the points with assists against Leeds last time out and with the league leaders taking on Newcastle and Wolves over gameweek 36 he’s certainly good value compared to many of Pep’s other attacking options at £7.8million.

Rotation may mean he only gets one game, you never know with Guardiola, but even then he’ll likely pick up some points for you.

Mo Salah (Liverpool)

It goes without saying that Mo Salah will have an influential next few games. He always does. Salah could well be the difference as Jurgen Klopp’s men meet Spurs at Anfield, with that little bit of magic picking up the title contenders the three points.

You know by now he doesn’t come cheap, but with Villa to follow the Spurs game it could prove lucrative.

Richarlison (Everton)

Providing he avoids a ban following throwing a flare into the crowd after scoring the only goal in the game against Chelsea last weekend, Richarlison could be a good name to have on your shopping list.

He’s £7.5million and the Toffees take on a Leicester side who are a little out of sorts and a Watford team who concede goals like they’re going out of style. If he’s available, he’ll get goals.
